Horrible experience. Do NOT stay here. I booked the family suite with 2 beds. Come to find out the room was under maintenance. We were never told even after calling before our arrival to inquire about the room that it was unavailable. Due to our family size and children’s ages we were forced to move to a different hotel. Now we are trying to get a refund through hotels.com who we booked with. They can not even get in touch with this hotel so no refund can be processed. Not even one communication with the hotel has been possible by what hotels.com said. This hotel does NOT have good customer service. I called twice and was immediately hung up on. Please, do yourself a favor. Do not stay here.

Room was clean and comfortable, Staff were super friendly and helpful with requests. Dined at the restaurant for dinner, had some local flavours which were delicious. Breakfast was a buffet but not an overwhelming amount of choices, some fresh fruits, a mix of hot local fare and some western choices. The hotel itself is located perfectly at the Plaza de Armas of Cajamarca and is lovely right beside the cathedral. Lots of see and do. Great place to stay. The one drawback is that it is located close to a live music/nightclub so at night, the music was loud and made it difficult to sleep. Also, no heater or air conditioning unit in the rooms so ventilation is tough. Opening the windows brings in lots of street noise (car exhaust, honking) and keeping window closed means it gets hot.
